Tee's Good Stuff
I subscribe to a newsletter by Ali Edwards. Her latest newsletter talks about "The Good Stuff" - non-essential scrapbooking stuff that she has liked using recently. So I will talk about my "Good Stuff":
1. ink - I own almost all of the Stampin’ Up Stampin Spots. Plus about a dozen different ColorBox Fluid Chalk catseyes’ pads, VersaMagic teardrops, and VersaCubes. I use them to dress up raw chipboard, recolor embellishments, and stamp of course (see #3). Hmmm, maybe ink is more of an essential...
2. paint – see #1
3. alpha stamps – I love alpha stamps. I hate fussing with my printer to print titles. I own lots of MaVinci’s Reliquary and Fontwerks. Using rub-ons or stickers is probably quicker, but since I have a large ink selection, alpha stamps match any of my layouts perfectly. I can also further gussy them up with #8.
4. fibers – I don’t care if they’re not in style. I love the colours and the texture of fibers. I use it to stitch on buttons (which are probably also out-of-style, but oh well).
5. eyelets and snaps – since I got my Crop-a-Dile, I have really enjoyed using eyelets and snaps again.
6. buttons – especially the Foof-a-La Bag of Buttons – I have the clear ones, Dad’s Ties, and Happily Ever After. Sometimes I will stack a clear button on top of another one for extra “oomph”
7. stickers – I try not to sticker sneeze, but I still love stickers!
8. heat gun & embossing powder – it gives extra dimension to my stamped images, or to my chipboard alphas.
9. journalling boxes – I used to think that the journalling boxes by Creative Memories was so limiting and hokey. Now I love journalling boxes - you see them everywhere, especially in digital scrapbooking.
10. Adobe Photoshop Elements/iMac – I love using brushes in PSE. That being said, I absolutely love using the computer to edit photos, do cool effects, and browse layout galleries for inspiration. And of course I love using my computer to shop for scrapbooking supplies :)
What is on your list of GOOD STUFF?
